StreamElements Extension 2.0

Since its launch, the StreamElements extension was installed by thousands of streamers, and used by millions of viewers. Some would say, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” but we prefer to live by “Better, Faster, Stronger”, hence, we re-built the entire extension.

The result? The best all-in-one extension on Twitch.

You can download the new extension here. There’s no need to do so if you’re already using the extension, the updated version is already on your Twitch profile.

Existing featured tabs (Points, Chatters, Chat stats and Store items) have been improved with better design and functionally.

We’ve also added some additional tabs:

• Top Cheers
• Locations
• Subscribers
• Countdown to the next stream

The extension is already updated with default settings, but you might want to customize it to fit your preference such as changing display, adding or removing tabs, etc.

Here is a breakdown on how to use the extension and what’s new.

Extension configuration

You can access extension configuration from here, or by clicking the gear icon on your Twitch extension dashboard.

Extension settings can be reached by clicking: Dashboard > Extension > Gear icon

The following settings are available:

1. Displayed panels: Only checked panels would appear on the extension
2. Default panel: Set the initial panel your viewers will see when visiting your channel
3. Default period: Set the default period which your leaderboards will be sorted by, choose between all time, monthly, weekly and session
4. Upcoming streams: Add a stream countdown according to your schedule. When visiting your profile while offline, viewers will know how much time till your next stream

Using and setting up tabs

Here is a breakdown on how the extension tabs work.

Countdown

Countdown displays the time left for your next stream and your weekly schedule. As previously mentioned, Countdown settings are located in the extension settings menu under “Upcoming Streams.”

Choose your timezone (viewers see your schedule according to their local time) and add your schedule.

Locations leaderboard

Locations displays the top locations of your current viewers, and how many viewers are attributed to each location. No viewer opt-in required!

Cheers leaderboard

Your viewers can browse between the following views: session, week, month and all time. The default view is set in extension preferences.

Store items

The Store Items tab displays all the items listed in your StreamElements store. Viewers can browse different items, and redeem them directly from the extension, THE FUTURE IS HERE.

Subscribers leaderboard

Lists your all-time top subs and top gifters, LOYALTY LOYALTY LOYALTY.

Points leaderboard

Who are your most avid viewers and top points collectors? Lists both your all time and current leaderboard.

Chat Stats leaderboard

Which emotes are the most used in your stream? Who’s the king of spam? Both are no longer a mystery. Chat Stats tab lists your all-time total messages, chatters and your channel top emotes.
